The idea of starting a Train and Steam Museum has been wandering in our minds over the past few years and a group of us decided it was time to start laying some track to make it happen.
We started with a Facebook groups page and we are growing slowly but surely.
Our Mission:
Trains, Steam, Transportation, Philly – Philadelphia Railroad and Steam Museum. This group is put together to find people in the Philadelphia Pa area who would be interested in returning steam to Philadelphia PA. We are seeking people who would be interested in forming a non profit and starting a museum dedicated to steam locomotives and steam machinery and transportation with the hopes of creating a museum and returning steam locomotive excursions to Philly and educating the public in this long forgotten form of power. We are still debating what the “E” stands for Engineering, Energy, Experience, etc…
